Our lives are full - we love what we do - yet - we forget to be together - and just rest. So, we drove, pointing our car south on the I-5. We arrived at Salem and had a burger at a favorite spot - Rock n' Rogers.
Leaving Salem behind we continue southwest. A Sunday drive through towns and wooded areas. Layers of the week peel off. Work, commitments, responsibilities....just get left at home. We look forward to only what is ahead.
On this afternoon, most "week-enders" are heading home - east - to Portland - the opposite direction from us. It's late afternoon and we like the less crowded roads. A stop at the Tanger Outlet Mall for our usual visit to Eddie Bauer. But, our destination was a few more miles down the road: Beverly Beach.
We were curious about the yurts - so we checked them out - about 21 in all! This might be a get-away place in the near future.
So, our trip to the beach this week was something to behold - a gift. (The following photos were taken with my phone.)
The ocean....it's my favorite place. Always.
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Psalm 19:1
