Another Phone Call

I wrote of our eldest son - who moved to Montana, bought a dog, and decided he would stay.

Since then - he has learned to hunt, hike the trails around Glacier Park, work hard, fall in love, and grow through hard things like giving up his dog.  And, in recent months, he's also come to understand something even more deeply - God's love for him.

Our son has come home to what is most important - his faith.  And with that, he is coming home to us.

My mother's heart hesitates to be overly excited.  This is a huge step he's taking - he's nervous, a bit scared - all is like jello: work, a place to live, education goals, friends, the love of his life who will follow him out later.

On the other hand, my mother's heart is beating fast for the return of her first born son.  To be a part of his life again - and he a part of ours - brings no greater joy.
